Quick Hit – Good Advice – How To Spot Fake Apps

Quick hit, but first a disclaimer: This advice doesn’t work all of the time. As with phishing, bad guys are getting very good at making bad apps / emails / sites look like good apps / emails / sites.

That being said, this article from Lifehacker is good. Read it and hopefully save yourself from some headaches.

One other quick note: You Apple fans who think there is never anything wrong with the Apple-verse? This story’s main example is about an app that showed up on the Apple store this week.

It’s been another bad week for fake and malware apps. Stay safe out there.
