2017 Weather Report: Crazy Stuff
And now for something completely different: A 2017 NOAA Weather Report.
This is not a political / news / business / society / etc site, it’s a security site. Even though I’m focused on security, though, I am a human, husband, father. So when I see the final NOAA 2017 US Climate Assessment, I pay attention.
It was an amazing weather year, and 2018 is potentially even more amazing, at least based on what’s happened just during the first couple of weeks of January.
2017 saw 16 official weather and climate disaster events. The average from 1980-2017 was 5.8, and even during the previous 5 turbulent years it was 11.6.
Today, our hearts and minds are with the people in Southern California and Honduras / Central America. Here’s hoping that things settle down, weather-wise, this year.
Stay safe out there.
